Today I'm thankful for Joseph Smith. We spent some time this morning at Liberty Jail, where Joseph Smith was imprisoned unjustly for 4 months during the winter, in the basement, with little food that was dirty, and one little tolit bucket that was shared between the other 4 men he was with. His first words to the guards upon entering the jail was, "Good Morning Gentlemen." I'm thankful that he stayed faithful even amongst thoughts and feelings of despair and that God had forsaken him. I'm thankful for the 3 revelations he recieved while there, and the knowledge given to us all that our trials are but a small moment and can be for our good, if we learn from them. I'm thankful for the knowledge that God does not leave us alone. Ever.
