Kayda's 4th Birthday and Grampa Charlie

My dad got to come up for a several days and visit. It was really nice to have him here. The girls were really excited and were counting down the days! Kody and I loved it because he babysat 3 out of the 5 days he was here! It was a busy weekend with an adult ward activity (Dodge ball....which was SOOO fun by the way), Stake Conference, and we had a date night, and it was Kayda's birthday. We probably saved about $80 not having to pay for a babysitter! It was great! We all went out to dinner together which was nice too. So thanks Dad for coming up, because it really was nice to have you here! Here are some pictures of Grampa Charlie with the kiddos.

It was also Kayda's 4th birthday and that was so much fun! We all went down to the river, had a picnic, went on a bike ride and Kayda opened presents. The past several weeks, she has pretended that anything long like a stick or play sward is a guitar, so we decided to get her a real one. It is so cute, and she loves it! It's pink (of course, Kayda would not have anything else), and it plays nice, and it's small and just her size. Needless to say, she was very excited! Between that and her new white princess dress that Kamille got for her, she really rocks it out like a Super Star with her guitar and outfit! A BIG thanks to all those who got her gifts and cards. She loved all of it! She was very excited about her birthday, and she had a great time, we all did. Here are some pictures and videos of when we were down by the river.

Our garden has done really well this year. Here is a picture of some of the first veggies that we got. No zucchini, water melon, or squash yet, but it will come!

We are heading down to Arizona next month. Both Kolten and Shayna are getting married, and we are super excited to come down. It's been almost a year since we saw everyone, except parents, so this will be a great trip. We'll be gone about 2 weeks. It will be a busy trip, but lots of fun! And we're so excited for Kolten and Shayna. They both are marrying great people, and we're excited to meet them and welcome them to the family!

Here is Jefferson right when he woke up. He's like this every morning! And he doesn't sleep in his car seat anymore. He's in the cradle and sleeps just as good!

Here is how Kamille helps to clean things up!

We had a nice Elders Quorm activity this morning. It was "The Olympics." Kody participated the most out of all of us. The kids mostly just watched, and I did a couple of things. But Kody got 1st in the Discus throw, 2nd in Shot Put, Tied for 1st in the Long Jump, and then got 3rd in the 100 Yd. Dash. All the men ran the 400 Meters and did good. Kody was pretty tired by then. But we all had fun! My man is a stud I tell ya! I'm glad I married a hunk! :)

I need to go see what we're going to have for dinner. We have the missionaries over tonight, guess we can't have cold cereal! Haha
