Dear Family & Friends, December 2014
Another year has come and gone
with lots of ups and downs. Our full little family is happy and healthy, and
always making sounds. “Green Acres” seems to be our continuing theme song, so
here is our year in review with a rhyme to go along.
Kody works from dawn till dusk
farming all the time. It truly is his dream job that he loves and it’s fine.
Lots of planting & harvesting of vegetables along with building were
completed this year. He worked tirelessly to keep it up, and never did fear.
Two greenhouses, a veggie stand, lots of fencing, and a barn; were only some of
the building projects…definitely not a darn. Along with 24 sheep, 22 pigs, 2
llamas, and some dogs; he clearly stays busy, not sitting around like a log.
One of his favorite parts is having helpers to work by his side; the other 6 of
us family members also enjoy the ride. Family working together has been a great
blessing. We all love what we’re doing, even amongst some guessing.
Julie does her best to keep all
the kiddos in check. Most days are lovely, with only some being a pain in the
neck. J Homeschooling is going
well, and is sometimes quite adventurous. With 5 little ones running around it
can get quiet humorous. Some exciting
news to be announced is an upcoming new baby. A little boy, due in April, will
hopefully not make her a crazy lady. Helping at the farm, making veggie
deliveries, daily chores and some canning; pretty much sums up her year with
some fanning.
Kamille turns 10 this month and oh
what a joy she is! She’s a worker and a helper and never does fizz. She still
loves art and it continues to be her passion. She’s also doing hip-hop dance
and learning a new fashion. Mom & Dad are thrilled to have a built in
babysitter, Kamille agrees most of the time and takes good care of the litter.
Kayda is 8 and was baptized in
September. She’s a full exuberant energized family member. Gymnastics, tap
dance, and cooking are her main interest; she does over 100 daily cartwheels
…maybe that can go on Pinterest. She also enjoys sewing and recently made a
pillow case. Julie was surprised it turned out so well, since that is not her
favorite place. Kayda’s got a sweet tooth and she loves to make cookie dough.
She has the recipe memorized and it really does flow.
Jameson is 6 and is missing his two
front teeth. He’s such a little cutie and we love him like a wreath. He loves
to learn and work on things, building forts and towers. Whether out of Legos,
blocks, furniture or other things, he also pretends to have super powers. He’s
a tender boy with a sensitive spirit who knows how to love and care. Without
him in the family, it would seem quite bare.
Jefferson our little tank is
quite the little wooer. He’s only 4 and continues to have girls who are lured.
Of course they’re all much older than him and love to see his cute face. Sooner
than later we might have to put him in his place. He’s a good little sport and
quite the tuffy always holding his own. Playing cars, super heroes, or
wrestling, he is never alone. He loves to snuggle and cuddle and sit on mom’s
lap. He’s a sweet little boy and defiantly not a sap.
Kosette the little sweet heart is 2
years old. She talks and converses a lot and is quite bold. Waving to anyone
who smiles and waves at her; of course she has to feel right to not be a burr.
She is super smart and coordinated already wanting to read. She loves to learn
and do things herself and she likes to lead. She’s such a happy content little
thing, and not too moody. Hopefully she’ll stay that way and always be a cutie.
Hope you enjoyed the update of
our family clan. We wish you all a Merry Christmas with a New Year full of
happy plans! We are thankful for our Savior and his infinite love. His sweet
and tender mercies are precious like a dove. May you all find joy and happiness
in whatever lies ahead. Smiles, kindness, and peace, we encourage you to
spread!
Much Love To You All,
Kody, Julie, Kamille, Kayda, Jameson, Jefferson, Kosette, & Baby
Boy Collier
