Most of the kids spent hours and hours on the boats. Rowing, paddle boarding, racing. Tons of fun!
With 14 adults, 23 grandchildren (and 2 more on the way), plus 5 others who are like family, there was lots of people, lots of food, and lots of fun!
Nefi can play pretty much anything on the guitar. So the campfire songs were some pretty well known ones. We heard from Taylor Swift, Adele, and a few others.
I think this is my favorite picture of the whole weekend!
We all had a great time with the boat races. Sunde and I won in the girls round!
When we did the boat relay races with all the adults, Kody and Summer ended up tipping over at the very end! It was so funny! Kody had been working all that morning and was fully dressed in his work clothes, boots, and all. Who would have thought anyone would tip over in the big boats? We all got a good kick out of it and they were champs to hop back in and finish the race!
One night was all dutch oven cooking. Oh my lands! It was seriously good stuff! Curry, egg/hash brown/biscuit combo, pork chops with rice and stuffing, peach cobbler, beef stew, etc! So Good!
And then we topped it off with homemade ice cream. Kody's the ice cream lover...well, me too...so he is always in charge of making the ice cream. It usually takes over an hour to crank it. And everyone like to help.
We really did have a great time with all the family!
