So our loved filled Valentines was filled with such romance, it was great! We spent the day taping off our windows and doors in order to paint our house. And then we painted!! It really was fun, and the house looks a lot better, rather than just siding with white spots all over it from the caulking. Now hopefully this week we will be able to paint the trim and be finished with painting. The owners of the house want to sell it after we move out, so they're willing and wanting to do a lot of remodeling. After the outside is finsihed with a fence, shutters, window planters, and a new front door, then we will redo the inside. New cabinets, tile, paint, appliances, and refinishing the wood floor. This will be the best looking house in the newghboorhood!! It will take some time, but it works out good for us because we do all the labor and take it off of rent! The owners are super nice and letting us stay here for however long we need too! Here are some pictures of the painted siding, and when we finsih the trim and other stuff, we'll post that too! After we finished painting at about 6p.m., we came inside and and took a breath! I told Kody I wanted to have a lovely 3 course meal planned, but I didn't. So I gave him the option of left overs or P B and J. He said "a rootbeer float sounds good right now." So we decided to go to A&W and get one. Once we got in the truck we figured it would be good if we actually ate some food first, so we all went to Denny's for dinner. We were so full from dinner that we ended up not even getting a rootbeer float, oh well, maybe next Valentines! It was a very nice day and evening!
Here are some pictures of the house!
The day after Valentines we got up at 5am to go to Portland because Kody had a reroof to do. The girls and I went alog and stayed at Chad and Marykaye's (Julie's cousin's) house on Friday while Kody worked, because their house was only about a mile from the jobsite. Kamille and Kayda were able to play with super cute cousin's Kaylee and Kenna. Thanks a bunch to Marykaye for putting up with us and our adventures and being a GREAT hostess! Then we headed off to Clement's house (Julie's other couin's) for the next two nights. Here are some pictures photograper Kody took right near the Clement's house.
We went on a walk and just down the road from the Clement's house is a cute little park that we played at for a bit. Here are some pictures of that!
On our way home it took us about 5 hours to get home because we took a senic route through Bridal Veil Falls and saw some pretty waterfalls, and really neat bridges. It was a nice little weekend getaway!
That's the latest on whats going on in our neck of the woods!!
