Last Bits of Summer

We're nearly half way through October and starting to wind down on the BEAUTIFUL weather. Fall is upon us, which means winter is around the corner. The past few weeks have been SOOOO nice. We've been outside a lot soaking up as much as we can.

Some friends came along with us on a really nice walk/hike. 

Kody was a stud man and washed all the windows inside and out! Now the sunrise in the morning is extra beautiful! 

When you work 10 hour labor intensive days, then come home and work/fix/clean some more, you end up laying down/resting anywhere :) 

The next week we did another walk/hike with some friends. This one took 3 hours, but was well worth it. Having Jace on my back that long was a bit tiring, but we all pushed through. God's creations are magnificent!

Last week our friends had a get together to have foil dinners over a camp fire, then a big bon fire to burn their big wood/trash pile. I haven't done foil dinners in a long time, but I threw together some chicken and veggies and they were delish!

Kayda wrote a letter to President Monson. Very cute...and honest. Hope he thinks it's sweet :) 

 

Saw this recently and laughed pretty good! This would totally be one of my kids :) 

The leaves are starting to change colors, the windows and doors are open, and the birds and crickets are singing outside! Oh what a lovely time of year!!
